How do you know if your home is in need for a window upgrade?

New windows can and do enhance the look of your home.  According to a survey of real estate agents, a window replacement done well can increase the value of your home and make it easier to sell.  Here are some ROI (Return On Investment) numbers for the Columbus Ohio area.  Replacement windows range in cost from several hundred to over a thousand dollars an opening, Material type will dictate cost and maintenance. Choices include wood, vinyl or a combination of materials. There are also other features like glass types, styles, grid patterns and shapes that will determine The ROI. For Vinyl Windows the ROI in the Columbus area is 66.5%.  For Wood Windows it is slightly higher at 70.7%.

New Windows for Curb Appeal

From personal experience in many cases I have found that it is absolutely necessary to replace old windows if you are selling.
